Sarah is an award winning social entrepreneur, speaker and change agent.

Sarah left the high flying corporate world as a CEO and overcame her own challenges before she founded her own social enterprise, where she returned to her roots in Eyre Peninsula, South Australia, to find many communities had reached a tipping point of no return.

She established the flagship Champions Academy program in 2015 to champion change in rural communities at the grassroots level.

The program has scaled from sporting clubs into schools, government and a range of business and community groups.

As a former National Winner of the Agri-futures Rural Woman’s Award, Sarah’s considered an authority on rural contraction, decline and exodus, and is widely regarded for her experience in community resilience, revitalisation and next gen foresight.

As a Westpac Social Change Scholar and a thought leader in the field of change, Sarah’s a highly sought after mentor to other trailblazers, movers and shakers and ruckus makers.

In 2020 she was formally appointed a Westpac W100 Mentor in Residence.

Sarah has won a number of awards for her efforts, including the Telstra Business Women’s Award for Purpose & Social Enterprise, and was an SA finalist for the Australian of the Year ‘Local Hero’.

At a time when the world is in chaos and experiencing radical uncertainty and rapid change, her approach to individual and collective growth is a timely gamechanger.

So In our engaging discussion today, we dig deep on her beneficial change champion framework that covers:

  • The foundational importance of a sense of place
  • How human-centred design can help you make breakthroughs
  • The unique concept of Problem Hunting – what it is and how it will help you
