Nick Raithel has a thing about ‘7’ – he hosts the podcast, 7 Rules For Real Estate Investing, and is also the creator of the 7-Hour Book.
Both provide formulas in areas that are key to many high performers.
On his real estate podcast, Nick interviews a broad spectrum of successful property investors to distill their best seven investment rules, so we thought we would flip the tables and get him to summarise the top seven rules for real estate investing from all of the guests on his podcast.
While the 7-Hour Book is a proven system that allows you to get your own professionally published book, while spending only seven hours of your time to achieve it. Yes, you did read that right – just seven hours of your time.
Now I can honestly say that writing and publishing my books The Freedom Formula and most recently Get Invested are the best things that I have ever done. Why? There’s a whole bunch of reasons:
- It helped clarify my thinking and better communicate what we do and how we do it.
- The books have created thought leadership, authority, credibility and respect in our industry.
- The book allows me to get my unique message to many people at the same time and attract people who believe what we believe and educate them so they are ready for us to help them.
- The authority that flows from my books have created a multitude of media opportunities, speaking gigs.
My book has been the best business card I have ever had and it is the gift that just keeps on giving.
A book is the ultimate way to share your insights and be recognised – it is an entry ticket to a much bigger game.
Yet the issue is always finding the time to write it.
Now my book The Freedom Formula took 18 months of blood, sweat and tears from woe to go and involved countless hours, late nights, weekends and writing ‘holiday’ sabbaticals to get it done – I was effectively out of our business for six months to make it happen.
But if I had known that it could have been produced using Nick’s service with just seven hours of my time, then it would not have impacted on my role in the business and I still would have had book that I am proud of.
Now I know that most of you are thinking ‘a book is not for me’, ‘I don’t know what I would write about’, ‘no-one would be interested’ and ‘I wouldn’t know where to start it is just too daunting’ – I felt the same initially but it is amazing what you know and take for granted that others would love to know – and a book is the perfect vehicle.
